300 George Street Commercial Tower Lobby

Azolla Spectrum by Melbourne-based artist Anne-Marie May is a major wall-based installation of painted aluminium leaf-like forms in two parts, located in the lobby of the commercial office tower at 300 George Street. The work produces coloured shadow effects in a subtly changing and contemplative expression. In using the natural phenomena of reflected light to generate both optical and spatial qualities, the artist creates a sensory encounter and atmospheric experience for the viewer. Although monumental in scale, the work is delicate in feeling. Artfully was engaged by Shayher Group to manage all phases of the commission.
